DEXTER: ALcohol sales now permitted on Sunday mornings
Village Council members Monday voted 5-1 to approve the sale of alcohol on Sunday morning from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. Currently the state doesn’t allow the sale of alcohol on Sunday until noon.

Prentiss County voters soundly rejected an effort to legalize alcohol sales in the county with about 63 percent of voters against coming out from under Mississippi dry laws.
