With the holidays behind us, it’s time for our favorite television shows to return to the air with new episodes. On January 28, Supernatural fans will find out what happened after Death attempted to return Sam’s soul from Lucifer’s cage.
Unfortunately, that suspenseful revelation will have to wait until later in the episode, because if Supernatural has taught us anything, it’s that there’s always a monster that needs to be killed – and waiting for the unconscious to come around is just not in the cards.
After finding out that women have been continuously disappearing from a familiar small town, Dean and Bobby team up to find out who (or what) could be behind these paranormally driven kidnappings. With some mythological research, it soon becomes apparent that the women who are disappearing were virgins that wore purity rings.While this mysterious v-word might stupefy the Casanovian Dean Winchester, the always resourceful Bobby Singer knows exactly what type of creature their dealing with. In a first for Supernatural, the Winchester brothers (now that Sam is awake) will have to battle one of the Middle Ages’ most iconic creatures… Dragons!
Fortunately (as you can see in the photos below), it appears that Sam and Dean have found the perfect weapon to deal with their proverbial Godzilla. Although, considering the size of the dagger they’re holding (and Supernatural’s production budget), these dragons will most likely be some form of human-based manifestation, rather than the full-size, fire breathing, flying monstrosities.
Aside from a giant knife, the photos below also give a glimpse at where the dragons keep their intended victims. On top of that, you also have some photos of Sam and Dean in their now iconic black suits and, more importantly, a couple photos from the scene in which Sam reveals the fate of his soul.
