What free-range meat and egg products can be purchased at local grocery stores? Which of these products’ companies has better standards for treatment of the animals?

It depends of your grocery store.. The one near me has free range chicken and eggs. My local farmer’s market has free range and bio meats (and bio fruits and vegetables). But an other grocery store near my previous apartment does not carry these products… Ask you grocery clerk and shop around a bit. Some stores specialize in free range/bio/ethical foods.
These guys have good selections, but limited number of stores.
