Pirates are a sailin’, Ghostface is a killin’, and the latest Disney princess is causing comic mischief with her four-legged costars in our latest roundup of movie posters, images, and footage.

We have the first official one-sheet for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides to check out, as well as new photos from Scream 4 and a handful of clips from Disney’s Tangled for you to peruse through and inspect at your leisure, naturally.

Walt Disney Pictures knows there is still life left in its ride-turned-moneymaking movie franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean, and will find out just how much when Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides arrives next summer. The company has released an official one-sheet for the pic that feature the familiar image of a (now, metallic) skull decked out in beads and a red bandanna, with two swords crossed behind it in the background. It’s only a poster, but we can’t help but wonder: Will Pirates of the Caribbean 4 offer moviegoers anything they’ve not previously seen from the franchise?

Johnny Depp will be back as Captain Jack Sparrow in the fourth POTC flick, along with Geoffrey Rush as his former mutinous first mate Captain (Hector) Barbossa and Kevin R. McNally as Jack’s oft-drunken comrade, Joshamee Gibbs. Penelope Cruz and Ian McShane are newcomers to the franchise, as is Rob Marshall, who will take over directorial duties from Gore Verbinski for On Stranger Tides. Can the Chicago helmer instill new life into this bloated blockbuster action-adventure series?

Wes Craven is in a similar position to that of Marshall, as his new film, Scream 4, hopes to be the first in several new installments in a franchise that, while successful in its time, most moviegoers have now had their fill of.

Dimension Films has released a handful of new images from the horror flick, which finds Neve Campbell’s Sidney Prescott once again having to defend herself against a homicidal maniac who’s always dressed for Halloween. David Arquette and Courtney Cox are back as well, along with numerous young stars like Emma Roberts, Heroes‘ Hayden Panettiere, and Rory Culkin, who have to obey the rules of the horror genre in the age of reboots and Saw movies if they hope to survive.

Disney’s spin on the classic fairy tale Rapunzel, now redubbed Tangled, arrives next week over the Thanksgiving holiday and hopes to attract those looking for a family-friendly adventure with a new princess and humorous animal sidekicks to boot.

Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi lent their voices to Tangled, which also boasts some luminous French Rococo painting-inspired animation that gives the flick a distinctive look, different that the organic style of Pixar or the cartoonish visual design of Dreamworks’ animated fare. The humor, characters, and story all feel pretty familiar, but younger moviegoers should get a kick out of Tangled, while their parents can breath a sigh of relief that they aren’t watching Yogi Bear instead.

Check out four clips from Tangled below:

Tangled hits 2D and 3D screens in the U.S. on November 24th, 2010.

Scream 4 attacks theaters around the U.S. on April 15th, 2011.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides will sail into 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D theaters on May 20th, 2011.
