Last summer’s Grindhouse spin-off Machete got a lot of bad political press because of the way it dealt with the topic of illegal immigration, but if you tuck all the personal political feelings aside the film was made just like Danny Trejo -- mean, wrinkled and bad as hell!
Machete turned out to be nothing more than a campy B-movie filled with over-the-top violence, nudity and gore -- but if in your mind those things combine to make a good movie, then you should enjoy video we have below.
For the past few years, Lipton Brisk Iced Tea has been producing some great stop-motion animated commercials using some iconic scenes and actors -- Rocky (voiced by Sylvester Stallone) in the ring, John McClain (voiced by Bruce Willis) fighting off George Jefferson, and Bruce Lee battling the Karate Kid -- all of these commercials featured heroes in dire straits, and just when it looks like their time is up, they drink some refreshing Lipton Brisk Iced Tea and put the beat down on some bad guys.
The Machete commercial below is the same, except this time they tell the entire story of the film in sixty-five seconds! Watch below to be amazed and entertained:
The creators behind these commercials are very talented and that talent shines through on each and every one of their videos. I’ve included the Rocky, John McClain and Bruce Lee videos at the end of this article for you to enjoy as well. While these videos are truly awesome and entertaining, I can only wonder why they wouldn’t wait for the upcoming Super Bowl to wow a large audience instead of a minor unannounced released on YouTube?
Either way, I’ll be waiting for the next Lipton Brisk commercial to come out, featuring another of Hollywood’s leading men -- perhaps Rutger Hauer as the Hobo with a Shotgun or Mark Wahlberg in The Fighter will be next?
Bruce Lee vs. The Karate Kid
Rocky Balboa
John McClain vs. The Jeffersons
Who would you like to see idolized next by the Lipton advertising department?
